ABOUT THE CHALETS
We offer a home from home, and are totally confident that you will be very comfortable on your stay. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the chalets, they are presented to you spotlessly clean. Most of the chalets we offer have sea front locations with unobstructed views from your chalet windows. We can offer a number of different locations through the park at Carmarthen Bay, dependant upon what type of holiday you are seeking.

Many of the chalets we offer are very convenient for the entertainment complex, swimming pool, bars, etc.. Also, we have chalets located in the quieter end of the holiday park, perfect for that well deserved chill out. We also can offer offer up to three chalets side-by-side, which means that we can welcome family parties of up to 18 guests. If you have any special needs, please contact us to discuss your personal requirements, we will endeavour to allocate a suitable chalet to suit your requirements. All our chalets are very well maintained, both inside and out., and they are all designated non-smoking areas for the comfort of all our guests. All chalet are tastefully painted and decorated every season. All our chalets benefit from heating in every room, and most also have feature fireplaces in the living area.

All chalets are three bedroomed, and can sleep a family of six in absolute comfort. The chalets may have differing sleeping arrangements, all of course have a double bedroom, however the other two bedrooms may be configured with either twin beds, bunk beds or even triple sleepers ( double on the bottom and a bunk above) – please enquire with your own requirements. All beds are made-up before your arrival with fresh, clean linen. The bathrooms also differ from chalet to chalet, some have a bath, some have a shower above the bath, and some have a shower cubical – again, please enquire with your own requirements. PARK RESORTS – CARMARTHEN BAY HOLIDAY VILLAGE
Sea View Chalets are located at Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village, one of many sites throughout the UK operated by Park Resorts – they are one of Britain’s largest and most favourite self-catering holiday companies. Many people spend the whole duration of their holiday on the park itself, where as other people use their chalet as a base to explore South Wales. There are many many on-site facilities, indoors there’s a soft ball play area, an amusements arcade, a swimming pool, a games area (pool & darts), a television lounge, a restaurant including outside seating area overlooking the estuary, and a newly refurbished cabaret hall which seats over four hundred people.

There’s resident ‘Team Stars’ on-site throughout the year offering a range of entertainment throughout the day and night – entertainment varies throughout the year, so please check the entertainment programme with us. There’s ‘Sparky’s Krew Club’ for the children, amusing children during the daytime with varying activities. For the grown-up’s, there’s bingo and game shows from early evening, a resident band keeping everybody entertained and the very best travelling cabaret artistes available in the UK today.

To benefit from these facilities offered by Park Resorts, you will need to be able to show your Entertainment Passes, and for the benefit of our customers these will be (in most cases) included in the cost of your holiday. There’s a convenience store open on-site for all essentials, also there’s a great children’s adventure playground and crazy golf too. Please note that as a privately owned independent holiday supplier, we have absolutely no control over the programme and scheduling of entertainment programmes or any other facilities offered by Park Resorts.
GWENDRAETH ESTUARY

Gwendraeth Estuary is without doubt an area of natural beauty – the tides of course eb and flow twice a day, every day. There’s a real-life ship wreck (???) located just the other side of the estuary. The view up the estuary and beyond onto Carmarthen Bay itself is quite spectacular. On a clear day, in the distance you can see Saundersfoot, Tenby, and of course Cauldy Island. On the right day, there are spectacular sunset to be seen up the estuary. When the tide is in, the estuary can become a hive of activity, with boating, skiers and wake-boarders, jet skiers, kyakers and canoeists, and even wind-surfers. Although these activities are not for hire, feel free to bring your own.

Traditional beach games such as football, badminton, cricket and bowls are often seen being played on the beach, and you may also be lucky to see the donkey rides parading up and down the beach. Fishermen cast from the beach itself to land the fish of their dreams (sea bass being regular visitors), many of our guests have been successful in hooking a fish or two during their holiday. In contrast, when the tide is out there’s an abundance of wildlife that visit the estuary. What birds ??? There’s a never ending supply of rock pools to explore on Gwendraeth Estuary, it’s the simple things that children will remember for a lifetime … and it’s totally free!
If you know where to look, cockles and muscles can be harvested at low tide. Also, there’s an abundance of fishing bait to be gained at low tide ready for the next cast. We are sometimes fortunate to have the RAF conducting training exercises in the distance across the estuary, they are impromptu and you may be lucky enough to witness this during your stay. Even though Gwendraeth Estuary is not particularly suitable for bathing (because of the tidal currents), there are many beautiful golden beaches within a very short distance from your chalet. The coastline of South West Wales is stunning and is well worth exploring. It is advisable that you have transport, as Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village is located in the countryside, with bus and train links being some two miles through a country lane.
PLACES TO VISIT IN SOUTH WEST WALES
Your chalet is located two miles from Kidwelly Town, you have a wide range of local shops, pubs and take-away’s. Kidwelly Castle is one of the best preserved Norman? castles in the UK, and is well worth a visit. Literally just the other side of Gwendraeth Estuary is located Pembrey Country Park, however it’s a fifteen minute drive away. Cefn Sidan Sands at Pembrey Country Park is mile after mile of golden sand and rolling waves, and is widely regarded as one of the finest beaches in the region. Also on offer in the park is a dry ski slope and a tobogan run, ’Go Ape’ is a new woodland adventure ??, and there’s mile after mile of spectacular woodland trails perfect for a relaxing walk or cycling. Saundersfoot, Tenby & Cauldy Island are approximately an hours drive, offering excellent beaches and many boat trips offering to take you to Cauldy Island where there’s a working monastery still into modern times. Not far away from Tenby are located the ever popular attractions of Oakwood Theme Parkand also Foly Farm, both are well worth a visit. The Botanic Gardens of Wales are located approximately 30 minutes away, and well worth a visit. The National Showcaves of Wales located in the Brecon Beacons National Park are just a one hour drive from the chalet, if you plan to go onto Brecon Town itself, it will take another half hour to arrive.St. David’s City is officially the smallest city in the UK, there’s some stunning coastline in this part of West Wales, and the cathedral will quite simply take your breath away … it’s a must!
